Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the judiciary committee when she worked on the Watergate investigation. When the investigation was over, he fired her.
“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

This is a very interesting article at Scientific American on the difference one’s understanding of intelligence (whether it is innate and fixed or maleable - “growth-mindset”) and the form of praise one receives (whether the object of praise is innate talent or hard work), has a significant impact on how one performs academically, professionally, or in relationships especially when faced with difficulties.

In an unprecedented move, Google Inc. (Nasdaq:GOOG) has agreed to supply the IP address of an Israeli blogger who used “Google Blogger” for a blog in which he slandered Shaarei Tikva council members running for reelection. This action was taken by Google after a court ruling but before receiving a court mandate to do so.

Hezbollah is exploiting the tense political deadlock in Beirut to recruit thousands of new fighters.

According to Philippe Abi-Akl in L’Orient-Le Jour of today, Hezbollah’s (hidden) agenda for the presidential stalemate is to reopen the Taif accord in order to adjust the balance of Muslims and Christians from 50-50 to two-third versus one-third.
