Failed Policies of the Past - Obama’s Excuse
Obama’s excuses are wearing thin according to the Chicago Sun Times. Obama voted in favor of Bush’s policies 41% of the time and voted along with the Democrat party 96% of the time. The Democratic party was in control of Congress the last 2 years of the Bush Administration and it is they who primarily hold the purse strings of our government’s budget.
Obama was in the Democratically controlled Congress last October when it approved the $700 billion financial bailout that brought the deficit to $1.3 trillion, and Obama aggressively campaigned for the bailout and, of course voted for the TARP Bill..
So, in thinking of Obama’s mantra, “failed policies of the past”, as an excuse for how difficult his job is, we must remember that he voted for the spending that put us in this position and that the Democrats controlled Congress (who holds the purse strings anyway) the last 2 years of the Bush Administration.
Presently, Obama himself is guilty of continuing failed policies of the past and those policies are a repeat of failed socialist programs. Even Pravda is pointing this out. In an article entitled, “The American Self Immolation, Truly a Sight to See”, Stanislav Mishin talks about what he says as the self-destruction of America because of the current direction in which we are headed and the policies we are adopting. He reminds his readers of a saying, “Rome did not fall to the barbarians, all they did was kick in the rotting gates.”
Speaking of America, he goes on to say, “The most amazing thing of course, is that they are just repeating the failed mistakes of the past.” To which mistakes does he refer? It is the failed mistakes of the Soviet Union when it “destroyed itself through its own hubris and economic folly.”
He speaks of the American Marxists noticing that the Germans, the French, Italy and Russia are beginning to come out of the recession and that they ignore the fact that, as Stanislav puts it, “we and the other three great nations all cut our taxes, cut our spending, made life easy for small business…in other words: the exact opposite of the Anglo-Sphere.”
President Obama and this Administration continue to march us down the road to serfdom with socialist policies and their progressivist agenda - repeating failed policies of the past. Rotting gates indeed!
How can Americans stop this?
- Cut Taxes!
- Cut Spending!
- Make life easy for Small Business!
- Stop the tide of governmental interference and meddling in the private sector! (the pun on tide as in Tides Foundation is intended)
- Say NO to government controlled healthcare - there are better ways to achieve healthcare reform, and ones that would actually fix problems rather than simply create new ones!
