The dictionary definition of ‘tailspin’ is:
Noun
1. tailspin - loss of emotional control often resulting in emotional collapse
2. tailspin - rapid descent of an aircraft in a steep spiral
Synonyms: spin
(Source: Webster)
Recent statements by Sen. Kerry would seem to indicate that he or his campaign are entering a tailspin. I’m not just talking about […]

Sen. Kerry, as everyone knows, voted YEA on Joint Resolution 114
(Vote tally on H.J. Resolution 114). However, Sen. Kerry continues his mantra that he only voted for the authority or the use of the threat of force, etc. and that President Bush rushed to war too soon.
(see also Kerry’s voting record)
Sen. Kerry has […]

MoveOn.org attacks the messenger bearing news they care not to hear. Their ad in the New York Times questions Gallup’s poll numbers. They directly target George Gallup Jr. personally, a tactic almost as old as civilization itself.
Recall Sophacles and Shakespeare:
GUARD: … And he convinced us all; so lots were cast,
And I, unlucky scapegoat, […]

Signs of this war in the courts
We have a heated debate in the legal system with regard to the Constitution between strict constructionists and judicial activists (the “living document” camp) over the validity or even relevance of the original intent of the framers. The latter camp continually redefines the very words of the framers […]

Kudos to Katherine Mangu-Ward for her article entitled, “Sister Kerry” at The Weekly Standard. She does a great job at reporting what you otherwise might not hear and it seems that Diana Kerry’s knowledge of recent history is just as muddled as Sen. Kerry’s knowledge of not so recent history (a la memories of […]

Lieutenant Colonel Powl Smith, U.S. Army, is the former chief of counterterrorism plans at U.S. European Command and is currently in Baghdad with Multi-National Forces-Iraq. He has a very insightful article about comparing Iraq to Vietnam. Read it here.
Equally insightful is Marc Morano’s assessment of Sen. Kerry’s views on Iraq and Vietnam as […]

My wife pointed me to a very interesting article on FoxNews.com entitled, “Kerry Stops Short of Using L-Word”.
The article relates how Sen. Kerry, although not his surrogates, has avoided calling President Bush an outright liar. He has used phrases such as “mislead”, “failure to tell the truth”, and “failed to level with”.
An interesting entry […]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A federal judge ruled Friday that the state’s “Choose Life” license plate is unconstitutional based on the reasoning in similar cases in other states, but he declined to rule on whether Tennessee’s entire specialty plate program is flawed.
U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell wrote that the state cannot promote just one viewpoint […]

Welcome to Pajama Hadin!
Another unspun hero of the new media helping to keep America safe for democracy by keeping public discourse safe for truth (while you sleep). One of our goals is to help put the “rational” back in rational public discourse by striving “to uncover lies, confusions, and over generalizations, […]

By default, all pre-installed blogs are displayed using a skin. (More on skins in another post.)
That means, blogs are accessed through ‘index.php‘, which loads default parameters from the database and then passes on the display job to a skin.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to use the default DB parameters and want to, say, force a […]
